Meet Dwight McQueen: The Visionary Behind ATL Tours
Dwight McQueen brings over 30 years of experience in event production, tourism, and entertainment. Beginning his career in New York with Mallory Factor Associates, he gained expertise producing events for Fortune 500 clients and working with legendary performers like Aretha Franklin and Natalie Cole. His career expanded at the New York Convention and Visitors Bureau and later at the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau, where he played a key role in high-profile events such as the 1996 Olympic Games, NFL Super Bowls, conventions, and corporate meetings. Recognized as a top salesperson and respected planner, Dwight built a reputation for delivering impactful experiences.
In 2001, he founded Events by Dwight McQueen, Inc., a full-service event company producing major concerts and festivals with artists including Earth, Wind & Fire, Mary J. Blige, and Frankie Beverly & Maze. He also created ATL Tours LLC, offering curated experiences such as the ATL Black History Tour and Atlanta City Bus Tours, serving a wide range of groups from associations to family reunions. Alongside his entrepreneurial ventures, he has held leadership roles, including Director of Sales for Atlanta’s top minority-owned transportation company. Dwight’s ability to blend event production, tourism, and cultural storytelling highlights his commitment to delivering exceptional and memorable experiences.
